I Have a New Love Interest

OOOOO Got your attention didn't I???

Well my new love interest is actually two men. Yes I know what you must be thinking and you are right, better yet they are brothers. Mario and Luigi they are so sexy and I have been spending my evenings playing with them. Mostly I play with Mario but there is some time I play with Luigi, there are mini games on the DS that you can play cards with Luigi.

I know I should be ashamed but I am not! Grinzzzzzz They are two hunky Italian men.

When my husband and I were first married and poor (hehe) we did not even have cable back then, no cell phones, no pagers, no computers no nothing. We would play cards and board games. We decided to scrimp and save so we could make our first big purchase which was a Nintendo system. It came with the Mario game and we would play that game for hours and hours. It is amazing when I think about how many wonderful hours we spent bonding over this silly game. I really believe those were the best years of our lives together. We had nothing and we really just enjoyed being together. Our first Christmas together we had a little Charlie Brown Christmas tree and barely enough money to buy gifts for our moms. Those really were the good old days. I guess that is why I am really enjoying this game; it is very nostaligic for me.

Wishing everyone an absolutely amazing and peaceful week!

I know what you mean. We grew up with very little in our house. My mom was a single mom, and my brother and I had to do an awful lot to make sure she didn't go nuts. But she got us a nintendo one year for x-mas, and we used to stay up with candles lit and an orange sliced up playing that silly mario game. I remember with all the short cuts and stuff that my mom could 'rap' the game in three mintes. It was so cool!

oooohhh cherish is a video game addict! LOL You and my son would get along great! I personally was a Sega fan with sonic the hedgehog - never got into Mario. Though I have to say I love Mario Party game on the game cube - I could play those for hours.

I watched my boys play a lot of Mario games (they still do on occasion), but it was Dragon Warrior that sucked me into the game world...

Still!

When darling husband and I first moved in together...we were pretty poor too. On weekends we would get a case of beer and play cards and Nintendo too! Hours upon hours of cheap entertainment and enjoyment. Life was simpler then, and I sometimes miss it.

OMG--Alan, Dragon Warrior was the one for me too... I have an emulator so I can play 1 through 4 still...

Cherish, I'm so feeling you. I have a severe inner gammer.

Things were tight around our house growing up...we played lots of cards, too.

I wish they were a little tighter around here nowadays. I often wonder if I'm spoiling the kids too much.

XMichra: When I was a kid and my mom was struggling to pay the bills after my dad left us and took everything. The first Christmas he was gone she saved and save to buy us a video game. Okay this will totally date me and I know you are going to laugh your ass off. But it was PONG!!!!! hehehehe.... We played that game for hours and hours!!!! GRINZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!

LOB: We had a Sega after the Nintendo and Sonic drove me NUTS!!!!! I could never master the game like I could Mario.

My daughter LOVES Mario for the game cube but Animal crossing is her favie!

TC: NO way Mr. Cat you are perfect how you are, no make overs.

Gary: Thank you smiles I hope your week was wonderful.

Mr. Fab: WOoo Hoooo Threesomes!!!!

Alan: I have never played Dragon Warrior. What game system is it for?

Still Searching: I miss it too! I long to be poverty stricken, what is wrong with me? Grinzzzz... It just seemed much simpler back then.

SnowElf: Gamers RULE!!! hehe

Krystyna: Thank you for stopping by!

RHSP: HMMMMM!! Grinz

Fred: Same here I worry all the time! I am starting to realize the mistakes I have made over the past 14 years. I just always wanted them to have everything they ever desired, arggghhhhhhh.... what a mistake. I think I know why there is a generation of adults who can not take no for an answer. It saddens me to realize that both my children can not take no for an answer and I just do not know how to change it.

Haha my son and I were discussing Mario because he asked me what "Momma Mia!" meant in Italian. I was explaining to him like in English it meant something like "Holy Cow!" Our conversation proceeded about how Mario was invented in Italy. But I corrected him to tell him it was actually invented in Japan. That stumped him ... lol

So I take it you're married and rich now?
I am the worst at video games. Both of our sons are naturals.
