My dishwasher went to the dishwasher grave yard today. But I have no idea which is a better one. Or which one to get the best bang for my buck.

I like this one:

Kenmore Elite: 750

Bisque Kenmore Elite 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/AutoSensor™ Wash System
Sears item #02216304000 Mfr. model #16304
Add a fantastic look to any kitchen with this dishwasher, offering sleek and sophisticated European styling. Soil level-measuring AutoSensor™ wash system w/triple filtration, Top Tier Only™ wash option, 1 to 24 hour delay start and QuietGuard™ Supreme sound insulation package.

Maytag Jetclean III/ Three Rack: $639

Racking Options • FlexLoad™ third rack - opens up new space in the bottom of the dishwasher • Deluxe Split & Fit™ silverware basket splits into two halves for flexibility • Cup clips - hold lightweight plastic items and cooking utensils in place • Fold-Away™ tines - fold up or down to customize rack • Vari-Lock™ snugger - arm holds lightweight and odd-shaped items in place • Adjustable/removable middle rack allows you to customize each load • FlexLoad™ third rack utility basket for serving spoons, spatulas and utensils • Room for casserole dishes, baking pans, frying pans and more • Third rack opens up space for odd-sized items that are usually left in the sink • Exclusive FlexLoad™ third rack - added rack in the bottom of dishwasher.

Any suggestions from my wonderful blogging buddies? If you know a good one that is different then one of these please let me know! Thank you!!!!!

Wow, they both look great. We have a Maytag, but it's an older model. We never owned one until we got our house 3 years ago. That and the washer and dryer make us very happy

Phil: I have a Kenmore Ultrawash III now and I love it. It has a garbage disposal in it so you do not have to rinse the dishes. I hate to see it go!!!!

Big Ben: Thank you so much I most certainly will check it out!

I think Kenmore is a good brand, so what ever you can get the most of for the money, unless you don't have a budget on this.

The cheapest one ;)

N I agree with RHSP ... you already have two dishwashers!! =)

I have 2 dishwashers. My own 2 hands. I would not know how to act if I had a machine to wash my dishes nightly. :)

RHSP: That is SO funny!! My children have to unload the dishwasher and you would think I am breaking both their arms. One week one does the dishwasher and the next week they do the trash switching back and forth. You would think the week they have to do the dishes was the week they were condemned to hell.

Sonya: I was thinking that myself, my last one was a Kenmore and I loved it. I guess the Kenmore Elite will be the one but that Maytag is calling my name it has three racks. I can not even imagine having three racks. BTW what the heck is a budget? Laughing... shhh do not tell my husband! He still has not recovered from the oven I bought that had two ovens. hehe

LoB: Laughs!! Now you know you get what you pay for, right???

Linda: I could not imagine washing my dishes. The dirty dishes are still in the dishwasher and I am hoping to get the new one in immediately so I can just transfer them from the old dishwasher to the new one. We have been eating out since the dishwasher broke. hmmm wonders why my husband says I am a spoiled brat???

Consumer Reports lists Kenmore as their best buy, and they also like Bosch and Whirlpool in the $500 and up range. For cheaper ones, they like Whirlpool and list Amana as a best buy.

I would get a dishwasher that washes dishes...with water even. They make those now...honest!

Undr(you're asking the wrong guy.)

I'd go with the Maytag. But the best dishwasher is one someone else has to load and empty.

Followed you home from Boo's link; hope you don't mind!

Had a Maytag, worked great at first, but didn't like the "hard water" in KCK so it only ran 3 years before weekly vinegar cycles (Maytag's solution) didn't help anymore. We bought a Kenmore because my sister loved hers, and it's been a dream; had it about 4 years now.

Anytime I go to buy anything I check out to see if I can find it; it's like Consumer Reports for free, with reviews, ratings and prices. It saved me from buying the "wrong" refrigerator about 6 years ago (too small a compressor for the case, lots of service calls. I went with the 5 star in the size I needed and haven't had a problem. Digicams, DVD players, whatever you want to look up, it's there...).

Nice to meet you, good luck!

Jack: Thank you so much for checking that out for me. You are too sweet for words. Bosch made the Kenmore Elite I was looking at originally but when I went to Sears the salesman said it did not have the garbage disposal in it. UGHHHH My old one has that feature which is great because you just stick the dishes in no rinsing or anything. So I decided on a different Kenmore Elite it was the same price as the one made by Bosch but it had the disposal.

Undr: Really with water? Are you sure? You jokster always pulling my leg.

TC: Wooo hooo you can come use the Kenmore anytime you want. My dirty dishes are your dirty dishes. Grinz

Alan: Thank you so much for stopping over and please come back. I need the comments, winks... My blog was much more popular when I wrote about xrated stuff. LAUGHSSSS!! I checked out the website. Thank you for all the great information!

Gunn: Thanks for stopping by! Use Liquid Plumber, it is great you just stick it in the sink and WAAAALLLLAAAAHHHH clog is gone. hehe!!

Tim: Thank you so much for the advice. I ended up with the Kenmore because the three stores I went to did not have the Maytag I wanted. I was looking for the one with three racks but no one seems to carry it. Welcome back!!!!!!!
