I had the most awful dream lastnight. I dreamt that while we were in church this morning we were being attacked. It was so real. I am still bothered by the dream this afternoon. There is this underlying feeling of doom.

Well it was my mom, my daughter, my son and myself at church this morning. As we sit in church the bombs started. We could see them flying by the windows of the church.

I could hear them, smell them and feel them. Our priest started to usher us outside through a side door, and downstairs into the basement. I was calling my husband desperately telling him to meet us at the church. Before I entered the side door, I looked up to my desperation I saw fighter jets dropping bombs on the area. I was begging and pleading with my husband to come to the church. He said he was trying to get to us. I kept telling the children if we go we would all go together. They were hysterical and crying. My mom was silent and she just followed us. We ended up in this little room, we were huddled together, waiting for my husband to arrive. We could hear the bombs hitting and blowing up the church.

I woke up at 4am in a complete panic. I could barely catch my breath. The first thing that crossed my mind was we live on an Island and there are no basements. The churches, the stores, the homes, the schools and we do not have one structure that has a basement. I just could not get it together. The dream was so real. The desperation and panic was real. I felt as if I had an out of body experience.

The silly thing is that I could not bring myself to go to church this morning. Normally we go to 7am mass and 8am Sunday School. But I just could not go my stomach was in knots and I decided to skip it. I thought we would go to the 5pm service this evening but I still do not feel that I can go. How ridiculous is that? I know I know Major Crazy but it was such a real dream.

Have you ever had a dream that felt so real your mind could not let it go??

How Are You In Love?

How You Are In Love

You fall in love quickly and easily. And very often.

In relationships, you tend to be a bit selfish.

You tend to get very attached when you're with someone. You want to see your love all the time.

You love your partner unconditionally and don't try to make them change.

You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard.

What is Your Temperament?

You Have a Choleric Temperament

You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.

I am sorry I can not remember who I snatched this from. I have had a bit of writer's block lately so I am filling in with quizes.

I did have one thing to talk about but it is gross. Okay here it goes; I want to talk about throwing up. I have had my children trained from when they were 2 years old to run to the bathroom when they felt like they were going to throw up. Well my doggie runs to the door when he feels he has to throw up. This morning he was at the door looking very nervous. So I hobbled over (having some knee problems) and let him out. He goes out and throws up. I had to chuckle to myself because how many dogs go to the door to go out to throw up. It reminded me about one visit I had with my brother and his family. My mom had just had a heart attack and my brother was staying with us. Well his three children were sick once they arrived. I mean throwing up like crazy. Well they were 13, 9 and 3years old and I was astonished to see them stand wherever they were and throw up. I have never in my life seen anything like it. I mean they did not even make an attempt to get to the bathroom. They just stood there throwing up. Well my sister in law was shocked when I told her that my kids have always ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. She asked me how I trained them and the dog to do that. Well honestly I have not idea. I guess it was the complete panic when they were throwing up as babies and I would run them to the bathroom. So after my brother's kids threw up about 15 times, my brother packed them up and brought them home because he was embarrassed they were throwing up all over my walls and carpets. I guess my reaction of shock and obvious discomfort at the entire situation made my brother feel uneasy. I am also happy to report that I used three bottles of lysol spray on every area they threw up after my sister in law cleaned it up and my family never got sick. Well I am here to tell everyone that I am VERY happy that my kids and dog are both trained, hehe!!!!

What Soul Are You? Stolen from morningstar

You Are a Prophet Soul

You are a gentle soul, with good intentions toward everyone.
Selfless and kind, you have great faith in people.
Sometimes this faith can lead to disappoinment in the long run.
No matter what, you deal with everything in a calm and balanced way.

You are a good interpreter, very sensitive, intuitive, caring, and gentle.
Concerned about the world, you are good at predicting people's feelings.
A seeker of wisdom, you are a life long learner looking for purpose and meaning.
You are a great thinker and communicator, but not necessarily a doer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Bright Star Soul and Dreaming Soul
Stolen from morningstar, quietly in the night when she was sleeping!

I had dental surgery on Monday and it really knocked me for a loop so I have not been blogging very much at all. I have missed reading everyone's blogs and I plan to get caught up on everyone's blogs this week.

WOW What a busy weekend. We were running up and down the highway!!

We had cheerleading competitions both days this weekend. The competition on Saturday was in Maryland. We brought three teams and they all did a fantastic job. My daughter's team scored the highest out of all the teams. They truly rocked, I mean they were perfect. People were standing after they performed. It is the best they have performed so far this season. This was an emotional competition and I think it had the girls revved up to do a good job. This competition was a Memorial competition to raise money for a cheerleader who was killed in a motorcycle accident. The girl's cheer squad started a Scholarship Fund in her name, all the profits of this competition went directly to the fund.

Click here to see the virtual memorial for this beautiful young lady.

This was very emotional for me. We sat right behind the family. I could not help but what if the situation to death. My beautiful girl was running back and forth with her friends. She was smiling BIG (she just got her braces off on Thursday) and I just could not put myself in the parent's (of this beautiful young girl) shoes . There were pictures everywhere of her beautiful smiling face, bright blue eyes and soft blonde hair. I had to hold back tears the entire competition even though this was a celebration of a young girl's life that ended way too soon. I reflected on everytime I think I am sick of my daughter's attitude or her mouth or how she does not appreciate anything, I know I should be thanking God for the opportunity to have her drive me crazy. She is such a beautiful human being who growing up before my eyes. I know Dorothy Lee's (The girl who died) parents would give anything on this earth and eternity to have their daughter drive them nuts with all the normal teenage nonsense. It was a very sad competition for me. Our team scored the highest of all the teams and would have had Grand Champion of the competition but the did not award a lot of trophies so more money would go into the scholarship fund. Well I do believe our girls learned a HUGE lesson and so did the parents, life is short. I know I learned a HUGE lesson I want my girl to drive me nutseecuckoooo every single day and I will always thank God for the angel he sent me. I should rephrase that to say the two angels he sent me that I treasure and cherish. My son has not started to drive me crazy yet but he does turn 13 in a few weeks, ugghhhhh.... Two teenagers HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP hehehehe!!!!

Well we left the competition and my car was acting up. I was fine, my only concern was the bridge. I had a long conversation with the car, I told it that it could break down before the bridge or after the bridge but NOT on the bridge. My poor daughter was scared to death. Well we approached the toll, held our breath and raced across the bridge. Thank God and Saint Christopher for the safe travel. We were very happy to arrive home without breaking down.

Is this somewhere you would want to break down? NOT ME!!!!!!!!!!

The competition on Sunday was an ALL day long event in Delaware. I am absolutely exhausted. We started our day at 7am at church, 8am Sunday school, home by 9:30 to find a sick husband. Well we know how men are when they are sick, enough said?? So I ran out to the store for gingerale and crackers. I got him settled with extra ice, drinks, crackers, medication and then out the door we went for the 1.5 hour ride to the competition. We brought all four teams to this competition and everyone of our teams won first place, but none of them won Grand Champion. I do not think our minis deserved first place but they won anyway and who am I to say anything. They just seemed off today.

Cheerleaders are taught to keep going regardless of injury, lost shoes, lost hair ribbons ect... My friend told me one time she saw a girl get kicked in the mouth her teeth went flying out of her mouth, blood running down her face and she kept on performing. I have seen them get kicked, dropped, hurt, pieces of their uniforms flying off, fake hair (our girls never wear fake hair but most do) flying, so on and so forth. Well a team was performing and a girl lost her glasses. They did not miss a beat they just kept on performing. A lady from the team that sponsored the competition runs out onto the mat in the middle of their routine to get the glasses. Can you say STUPID!!! needless to say she got kicked in the head an ended up breaking the glasses. She could have really hurt one of those girls. Everyone gasped then called her stupid. The girls will not stop performing no matter. We were all doing the what ifs and how one of the girls could have been seriously hurt by her stupidity. The girls are doing back handsprings and back flips. Well anyone who says cheerleading is not sport, must have never seen a competitive cheer competition. Some of these girls are so amazing and talented.

I have off today for the President's day holiday. Yeahhhhhhhhh!!! Time to recuperate!

My friend sent me this picture over the weekend and I thought I would share the picture, because he is so beautiful!!! YUMMY Billie Joe Armstrong!!!!! Thank you for the picture ~winks~

Excellent Post Stolen from LoB

I thought this was such a wonderful post so I stole it from LoB so I could share it with you all. Please visit his wonderful blog (You will not be disappointed) so he does not sue me over copyright issues, tell him cherish sent you. ~winks~

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
See what you think:
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."Rebecca- age 8
"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."Billy - age 4
"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."Karl - age 5
"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."Chrissy - age 6
"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." Danny - age 7
"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"Emily - age 8
"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,"Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."Noelle - age 7
"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."Tommy - age 6
"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."Cindy - age 8
"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."Clare - age 6
"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."Elaine-age 5
"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."Chris - age 7
"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."Mary Ann - age 4
"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."Lauren - age 4
"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image)Karen - age 7
"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross."Mark - age 6
"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."Jessica - age 8
And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

What Color is Your Passion?

Your Passion is Purple!

You've got a ton of passion, but you don't always wear it on your sleeve.
If something truly excites you, you let your inner intensity shine through.
But otherwise, your passion tends to morph into energy ... which you never lack.
You're a balanced woman, knowing when to turn on the fire in your heart.
I thought this was pretty cool because purple is my favorite color.
I stole this from XMichra when she was not looking.

My Favorite Jokes

My Favorite Maryland Joke

The day after his wife disappeared in a boating accident, an Ocean City man answered his door to find two grim-faced Maryland State Troopers. "We're sorry Mr. Rice, but we have some information about your wife," said the trooper."Tell me! Did you find her" Willy shouted. The troopers looked at each other. One said, "We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news. Which do you want to hear first"Fearing the worst, Willy said, "Give me the bad news first."The trooper said, "I'm sorry to tell you, sir, but this morning we found your wife's body in the Assawoman Bay near the Rte 90 Bridge."
"Oh my God!" exclaimed Willy.
Swallowing hard, he asked, "What's the good news?
"The trooper continued. "When we pulled her up she had 12 huge blue crabs and 6 good-size blue crabs on her."Stunned, Willy demanded, "If that's the good news, what's the great news?"
The trooper said, "We're going to pull her up again tomorrow".

You may have to be a Marylander or former Marylander to appreciate this joke!

My Favorite Blonde Joke

An Irishman, a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing construction work onscaffolding on the 20th floor of a building. They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, "Corned beef and cabbage! If Iget corned beef and cabbage one more time for lunch, I'm going to jump offthis building."The Mexican opened his lunch box and exclaimed, "Burritos again! If I getburritos one more time I'm going to jump off, too."The blonde opened his lunch and said, " Bologna again! If I get a bolognasandwich one more time, I'm jumping too."The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw corned beef and cabbage, and jumped to his death. The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and jumped, too.The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna and jumped to his death aswell. At the funeral, the Irishman's wife was weeping. She said, "If I'd knownhow really tired he was of corned beef and cabbage, I never would have givenit to him again!"The Mexican's wife also wept and said, "I could have given him tacos orenchiladas! I didn't realize he hated burritos so much."AND ................

Everyone turned and stared at the blonde's wife. The blonde's wife said,"Don't look at me, He makes his own lunch."

Tagged By morningstar

I was recovering from being bit by the flu, miss morningstar came in and tagged me when I was not looking.

The rules: The first player of this “game” starts with the top “5 Guilty Pleasures” and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their 5 Guilty Pleasures as well as state this rule. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names. (I am not going to tag anyone but whoever would like to do it I would love to see your guilty pleasures!!)

Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Perfume, I wear it every single day. It is expensive (well for us poor folks) but I love the way it smells. There is something in my chemical makeup and I can not wear perfume. The most beautiful smelling perfume turns to crap as soon it is on my skin for a few minutes. My daughter wanted me to try this perfume at the store, I tried to explain to her that my skin does something to perfume but she insisted so I complied. Well it smelled wonderful and the minutes ticked away ~sniff sniff~ still delicious!!! Woooo HOOOOOO..... I bought a small bottle for 80 bucks. CRINGESSSSSSSSS It seemed like a small fortune but it was worth it! My husband bought me the large bottle for Christmas so I can smell purdy for a long time. Hmmmm Wonders if he was trying to tell me something? Chuckles...

Quiet Time: Time on the computer; blogging, emailing, surfing and instant messaging. I enjoy the quiet time. Stamping; rubber stamping to make greeting cards. I love to buy stamping supplies. I have so much stuff it is overflowling.

2100 minutes on my cell phone, hehe... I love to talk on the phone!! The cell phone is wonderful because I can be reached anytime.

Burning Candles; I always have candles burning throughout my house. I am always burning Orchid Oasis by glade. Oh my the smell is heaven!!

Fridays; I have off on Fridays, kids in school and husband at work, enough said?

Remember Those Candy Valentine Hearts??

I stole this from Zen Wizard

Make your own Valentine Heart candy click here

What would your candy heart say?

Weird Dreams

WOW have I been having some very weird dreams lately. I think because I am not feeling well I can not get into a deep sleep so I am remembering what I dream. Well I will not go into all the dreams (trust me you all do not want to know what is going on in my subconscious, shudders oooo scary place)but the one was so darn funny I had to share it with you.

I dreamt I was stalking the drummer from INXS. As you well know I have quite a soft spot for drummers. I think that is because my childhood boyfriend played the drums, but more importantly my brother played the drums as I was growing up. I even tried to get my son to play the drums but that was a no go that cost me a fortune.

Well I really do like the drummer from INXS, he is so cool!!

Well he was being so nice to me and practically begging me to stop stalking him. He was so kind and I was being a complete BRAT! I told him no I am sorry I will not stop I love you and I need to stalk you. He then said but we are both married and we both have children. I would hear none of it. I followed him everywhere. It was pretty sad. So I am wondering what the heck could this dream mean?

More importantly, I wonder why I was not stalking Billie Joe Armstrong??? Because you know how much I adore him.Hmmmmmmmmm?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Under the Weather

My stomach is not a happy camper today. I would venture to say I feel somewhere between car sick and pregnant. (thank God hubby already took care of that)
I also have a splitting headache. I just want to go home and lay down. ~Pouts~ Okay Okay... go gentle on me I do not feel well. I admit (please stop the torture) this is a shameless attempt to receive feel better comments, flowers, diamonds, and cash. But I am sick and need attention. If you know me you know how much attention I need when I am feeling well so can you imagine how much I need when I am not feeling well???

Stolen from the ever SEXY Xmichra

This is a word cloud about my blog.

Cheerleading Competition

Well my daughter rocked!!!!!! I mean she was PERFECT... Okay I know I am prejudice. Honestly, this is the best performance these girls have put on. The entire team was flawless!! The team who won first place was out of our level. We are a level 3 team and we compete level three. Well the team who won first place was a higher level team (they were at the last competition and we did not compete against them because they were in a higher level) and they were getting ready to compete in a National Championship at a lower level then their actual level, so this was a practice competition before the National competition to see if they could compete at the lower level to make sure they could pull it off without being penalized for performing out of their level. (how sick is that and what message is this sending to our youth?) Well I told my daughter that is cheating. Regardless of what you think this is not sour grapes because this was a victory for us and I am not a sore loser!!! My daughter's squad may have come in second but as far as the coaches, the parents and myself we considered our girls the winner's!

Just a side note about the other team: The other team costs 5 grand to join, they practice three hours several times a week, they get gymnastic training, and their coaches are all paid positions. My daughter's team (although it is costing me an arm and leg, it is not five thousand, yet? grinz) have volunteer coaches they practice twice a week for 1.5 hours with no gymnastic training. They are a non profit organization and at the end of the year if there is any money in the budget it is split between the parents.

I think it is poor sportsman like conduct to enter a team at a lower level just so they will win. What kind of victory is that? Shame on that entire organization. It was a great victory for our girls and they were also very proud of themselves because they knew they nailed it perfectly.

BTW Thanks to my new cell phone (See next post) I was able to keep in contact with my daughter during the competition.
